Meet Hannah
Hi! I’m Hannah, the proud owner of the Happy Kids Yoga franchise in Reading and the surrounding areas.
Although this is a new adventure for me, I’m no stranger to working with children or to yoga. I’ve been passionate about dance since childhood, studying performing arts at college and university, and later training as a studio instructor with the YMCA. For over 22 years, I’ve taught dance, fitness, and performing arts to children in nurseries, schools, colleges, and more.
In 2019, I began working in a local primary school, and during the pandemic, I saw first-hand the emotional toll it took on children. This inspired me to train in children’s mindfulness and emotional literacy, deepening my commitment to supporting young people’s wellbeing.
Yoga has long been a part of my life, so discovering Happy Kids Yoga felt like everything coming together. The sessions are joyful, nurturing, and impactful, and I’m thrilled to now be delivering them in my community.
Joining Jen and the HKY team has been an incredible journey, and I’m so excited for what’s to come with Happy Kids Yoga Reading!

Every child deserves to move, breathe and grow
Hannah runs calm, structured yoga for small groups of pupils with additional needs: in special schools, in SEN units and resource bases, and with small groups taken out of a mainstream class.
Twenty minutes, the same shape every week: a short flow, poses with picture cards, breathing and a rest at the end. Sameness is the point. Pupils follow pictures rather than spoken instructions, choice cards let a pupil point or reach instead of finding the words, and a look, a reach or a sound all count as joining in.
A member of your staff stays in the room and we follow their lead on every pupil. Every teacher is trained for additional needs as part of their children’s yoga qualification, with our own SEN training on top.
