How it works

How a Happy Kids Yoga franchise works

From your first conversation to a full diary of classes.

A typical week

Your week

Most of the work happens while the children are already at school or nursery, which, for a lot of our franchisees, is exactly why it works.

Teaching

Sessions in nurseries and schools during the day, plus small SEN groups in special schools and SEN units. Add after school clubs, holiday clubs and parent and pre school classes if you want more. Every session follows our curriculum, so you are never planning from scratch.

Finding bookings

Visiting local settings, following up enquiries and keeping your schools happy. We give you the call lists, the emails and the materials.

Running things

Bookings, invoices and messages to parents, all through the booking system we provide.

Some franchisees keep it to term time mornings. Others fill the week and take on a second teacher. The model stretches to fit.

Your territory

A patch that is yours alone

Before you commit, you will see exactly where your boundaries are, how many schools and nurseries sit inside them, and the call lists we have already prepared for you. We would rather you knew all that up front than found out afterwards.

We agree the boundaries with you, built around where you live and the settings within reach.

And the territory is yours. You are the only Happy Kids Yoga provider in your area, and we will tell you where the nearest franchisee is before you sign anything.

Marketing

The bit people worry about most

Almost everyone who talks to us says some version of the same thing: I can teach, but I don’t know how to market myself. Social media especially.

It’s the part we’re best at. Both of us have marketing degrees, and Simon works as a marketing consultant, so marketing isn’t a folder we hand you on day one and wish you luck with.

You get your social content ready to post, flyers and materials you can use straight away, and your own page on our website. Nursery campaigns run nationally, so that isn’t left to you. And you get the school and nursery lists for your territory, built from official registers, so you are never starting at a blank page.

We would also rather you could make your own, so you get one to one Canva training, and newer franchisees have a weekly social media drop in with us while they are finding their feet.

Then there’s the bit you can’t put in a list. If something isn’t working, we look at it with you.

Who we look for

What we ask of you

You do not need a yoga qualification or business experience. We cover the rest. Our franchisees have come from classrooms, swimming pools, outdoor activity centres and childminding. None of them were children’s yoga teachers when they started. What matters is:

A passion for children's wellbeing

You do not need to be a yoga expert, but a love of wellness, mindfulness and working with children is essential.

A community minded outlook

You will build relationships with nurseries, schools and families, so you enjoy connecting with people.

Enthusiasm for running a business

Experience is not needed, but the drive to learn and grow is what makes a franchise thrive.

A positive, energetic attitude

Working with children takes patience, energy and fun, and you bring that to every class.

It sets out the franchise fee, what it includes, the ongoing fees and an honest illustration of what franchisees earn. We would rather you read it properly than see a headline number here.
